Are most British people uncomfortable with the fact that many projections say Britain will become the most populated country fully inside Europe in the near future?
More than uncomfortable.
Seriously worried.
The UK’s natural landscape is down to 34%.
England is down to a frightening 14%.
Britain is one of the most nature depleted nations on Earth, ranking 229th out of 240 nations in the NHM’s biodiversity intactness index, having lost 50% of its biodiversity and with much of the rest (including 1/4 of UK mammals) facing extinction largely due to habitat loss.
Britain’s carrying capacity is exhausted, with the UK population long ago outgrowing its ability to feed itself, instead relying on imports from the cleared agricultural land of other nations.
WW2 meant Britain struggled to feed a population of 44m (with rationing and limited imports) in the 1940s. We now have a population of almost 70m+ and growing. How on earth would we survive a blockade or being otherwise cut off from imports during a war?
Nevertheless, Britain is allowing immigration to add tens of thousands of people to the population every year, with immigration being the primary reason for UK population growth of 12,000,000 over just 26 years.
We need to alleviate the need for migrant workers with investment in automation, domestic training, better direction for the unemployed, better wages and work conditions to attract domestic workers, etc.
All with a long-term aim of continuing migration at a rate of -0% net.
The UK is overpopulated and that population is still growing fast.
It’s totally unsustainable.
